The Fix: USB in car plays out of order
I found that a USB – flash drive in a car audio player plays files – only —according to the order that the file is in the folder’s file directory on the USB stick. It does NOT look at the filename or the tag info to determine the play order.
To fix this issue, the directory on the USB stick must be rebuilt with the correct sort. Most of my problems has to do with MP3 files where I simply want them to play according to alphabetical filename. DirveSort does this just fine (along with some other sorting orders which I have not used). Look up DriveSort on Google (http://www.anerty.net/software/file/DriveSort/?lang=en). Sort the USB and re-write the directory table.
