Before:
This radio was not in very good shape. It looked to have a a lot of shellac on it that had overheated (very grainy on the top) and there were some runs on the front. With effort, this was removed with rags and denatured alcohol. Then acetone and 0000 steel wool was used to remove and smooth the last layer of unknown stuff. Then it was lacquered for the final finish.
